Since June, the largest wooden Buddhist temple in Europe is being built in Taucha near Leipzig, Germany. The Vietnamese pagoda "Chân Tịnh Thiền Viện" is constructed from larch wood and serves as a symbol of German-Vietnamese friendship. The project reflects centuries-old Asian craftsmanship and requires much patience.

After 20 years, the International Guitar Competition and Festival Berlin has become a regular meeting point for guitar talents from many countries. It also helps introduce Vietnamese melodies, materials, and cultural values to international audiences.

Thi Ha Linh Nguyen, a trained Vietnamese nurse, arrived in Germany in August 2018 and began a three-year training program at the University Hospital Rostock with 19 other Vietnamese recruits. The group formed the first cohort of a program designed to address the nursing shortage at the hospital.

Hamburg mayor Tschentscher is pushing for direct flights to Asia, including China and Vietnam, arguing they would benefit the city's international trade. He raised Hamburg as a possible European destination during a closed-door visit with Vietnamese airline Vietjet, which has ordered 100 Airbus A321neo jets largely built in Hamburg. Hamburg airport CEO Christian Kunsch said he will ensure the city makes a competitive offer for new Vietnam-Germany routes, though chances against rivals like Berlin remain open.
